Send a Chat Message

Sending encrypted chat messages through DekkoCORE.

Chats are sent within a Core Hub, so you can have several chats with the same recipient if you are both members of the same Core Hubs. Chat is not available in Fusion Hubs.

There are two ways to compose a Chat message:

Open the Contacts dropdown, hover over a contact and press the Chat icon

Select Chat in the left navigation bar, then select New Chat.

If you have All Hubs selected, you’ll need to choose a Hub to send the Chat message from

  1. In the Chat participants field, enter contact(s) to send the Chat message to:

    Users who are already in the Hub will auto-complete when you enter their name or email address. You can also enter an unregistered address, and that individual will be sent a registration invite, after which they can read the chat.

    Unregistered users will appear with their full email address.

  2. Enter a chat message:

  3. If you wish to discard the message, select Discard:

  1. When you are ready, press Send:

    Chat

    The message thread will appear in your Sent items:

Recipient(s) will be notified of your Chat message via email. They must log in to their DekkoSecure account to read the message (content is not exposed in email-based notifications).
