New ✨: Region restriction policy Access to all Hubs in a Tenancy can now be prevented via IP-based location detection.

New ✨: 2FA setup helper Users configuring 2FA for the first time can sometimes have trouble entering the correct passcode if their mobile phone time is out of sync with their computer time. I this is the case, the setup page now shows advice to rectify this problem.

New ✨: Data expiration policy A new Tenancy policy has been introduced that sets a maximum file lifetime set in days. After a file reaches the limit it is permanently erased.

Updated ⚡️: Log in, registration and 2FA prompt pages Account access, account creation and the 2FA set up page shown for Tenancies where 2FA is enforced have been refreshed:

New ✨: Central backup account policy

Alongside the Central Access Admin policy, the Tenancy Manager now has a policy that allows a data backup account to be set for an organisation.

New ✨: Hub creation in the Tenancy Manager interface

Tenancy Managers can now create a new Hub while they’re in the admin dashboard, in addition to the original method:

Updated ⚡️: New attribute schemes for content marking

The Tenancy Policy for content classification now supports Australian protective markings, export and non-export controlled labels, and Canadian protected information markings:

New ✨: Upload Accelerator App The the Upload Accelerator App is a lightweight installable companion tool that dramatically improves upload performance for very large files. Learn more at the dedicated how-to page.

Updated ✨: Faster uploads on the web app Supporting super-quick uploads with the Accelerator App comes along with the added benefit of a boost to upload performance on the web app, too.

New ✨: Script-based installation for DekkoDrive In addition to standard installation via an executable file, DekkoDrive can now be installed using a simple script, supporting environments where devices are provisioned using a standardised image or endpoint management platform. New ✨: Export Hub list The “Hub” view in the Tenancy Manager can now be exported as a CSV file:

Updated ✨: Log events for sharing now include the specific sharing permission granted to each recipient:

Updated ✨: Log retrieval from the Hub admin and Tenancy admin view has been given a massive speed boost - logs will now load much faster 🚀.

New ✨: dekkosecure.com has been refreshed with new content, including a signature background removal tool - perfect for tidying up your scanned or photographed signatures before uploading them to your DekkoSecure account!

New ✨: Video Conferencing chat transcript export Video Conference hosts can now save the chat log from a meeting. The transcript file can be accessed from the host’s meeting schedule or the Transcriptions section of their file storage.

Updated ✨: Video Conferencing support for Safari and Firefox Previously limited to Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge, the Video Conferencing feature can now be accessed when using Apple’s Safari and Mozilla’s Firefox browsers.

Updated ✨: DekkoDrive now supports Single Sign-On authentication

New ✨: Data Clearout function In combination with the recycle bin Tenancy policy, Tenant admins can now wipe data from a tenancy. The clearout function can only be enabled when the recycle bin policy is enabled. Only data older than 30 days can be wiped.

Updated ⚡️: Hub admin indicators The contact list now displays which members are have the administrator role, as indicated by ★ HUB admin marked on their contact entry.

Updated ⚡️: Log in dates are now displayed in the user list export CSV file.

Updated ⚡️: Training videos The Training Video Series article has been updated with lots of new content! All videos are around 1 minute or less with simple action descriptions throughout for easy consumption.

Updated ⚡️: New file and folder sharing permissions The sharing interface now features additional permissions: View only (for folders), Editor (for files and folders) and Manager (for files and folders). Check out the File Sharing and Folder Sharing articles to learn more.

New ✨: DekkoSecure DEMS platform knowledge base site!

It’s been a while… where’s the updates!?

PSA 🚨:

We recently noticed that Chromium browsers (Chrome and Edge) have started to performance-manage tabs that aren’t open. This means if you start an upload or download in the DekkoSecure app and then switch to another tab, that transfer will be paused.

We have documented preventative settings for your browser’s configuration that will stop this from happening so that your work continues uninterrupted!

New ✨: In-app viewing for HEIC/HEIF images. Modern phones often use HEIC/HEIF, an image file format that typically uses more advanced compression than JPEG—resulting in smaller file sizes. You can now view these images without downloading them. Just select your HEIC/HEIF file and press the View button to open it!

New ✨: In-app viewing for text files Text files (extension .txt) can now be viewed without downloading them. Similarly to other viewable files, just select your text file and press the view button to open it!

New ✨: Public Submissions Folders can now be set up to take files and messages from unauthenticated parties. Each folder with submissions enabled has a unique URL that you can share with submitters in any way you see appropriate. Please review the how-to page to learn more.
