Approving documents
Performing approvals

Navigate to the "Approvals" section of Dekko. Here you will see documents that have been sent to you for approval.

Select the document and then press the ‘Sign’ button:

The document will open. In this interface you will find the annotation and signature tools:
- When you are reading to start adding annotations go to the appropriate page.

When you are ready to finalise the document press ‘Finish approval’. A summary of annotations added will be displayed; press ‘Finialise’ to finish.
If you do not want to stop the owner from sharing the document with you following finalisation, untick ‘Keep document after signing’. -
The approved document’s status marking will change to ‘Approved’, and will be immediately available to the document owner and any other parties the document was shared with.
Annotation types
Signature and eApprove
When both the signature and eApprove elements are added to a document that is then finalised, the document will be marked as ‘Approved’.
To add a signature to a document:

Press ‘Sign’. The signature will be placed on the document:

Position and scale the signature appropriately. The scale and location of the signature will be remembered by Dekko and positioned the same next time you perform an approval.
To add an eApproval to a document:

Press ‘eApprove’. An eApprove element will be added:
Signature date and time
You can insert a date and time text element specific to a signature that is placed on a document.
To insert signature date and time elements:

Add a signature to the document following the steps above.

After you have positioned and scaled the signature appropriately, use the date and time buttons on the signature element in the elements list to place the attached date and time on the document:

Position and format the elements appropriately.
Stamp
To add a stamp to a document:

Press the ‘Stamp’ button. The stamp will be placed on the document:

Position and scale the stamp appropriately.
Text
There are several different text elements you can add to a document:

Custom text
-
An 'X'
-
‘Nil’
-
The current date
-
Your name
-
Your position
-
Your organisation
To add any of these text elements to a document:

Press the corresponding button - all text element buttons are green:

Position and format the text appropriately. You can edit any of these in the element’s content box:
Images
Images can be added from your computer or from Dekko. Before adding an image from Dekko, ensure that that you have uploaded one. It can be stored in any location.
To add an image from Dekko:

Press the ‘Add an image from Files’ button and select it:
The image will be placed on the document: -
Scale and position the image appropriately.
To add an image from your computer:

Press the ‘Add image’ button and select it in your file browser:
The image will be placed on the document: -
Scale and position the image appropriately.
Watermarks
Watermark images can be added from your computer or from Dekko and will be placed and scaled identically on all pages of the document. Before adding a watermark from Dekko, ensure that that you have uploaded one. It can be stored in any location.To add a watermark image from Dekko:

Press the ‘Add watermark from Files’ button and select it:
The watermark will be placed on the document:
Use the transparency slider to adjust the transparency of the watermark: -
Scale and position the image appropriately. The watermark will be replicated on every page of the document.
To add a watermark image from your computer:

Press the ‘Add watermark’ button and select it in your file browser:
The watermark will be placed on the document:
